Tom Combs – Mortgage Loan Officer

Thomas M. Combs has been a lifelong resident of St. Mary’s County, Maryland. As a resident of St. Mary’s County Tom is passionate about his community, his county and state and has recently been elected to serve as a Councilman on the Leonardtown Town Council. Tom sees his role as a mortgage banker with Gateway Bank Mortgage Company as an opportunity to further help his community by providing home buyers and homeowner’s access to the most current financial information financial education, and ongoing consultation.

In 1967, Tom started his financial career in banking with The First National Bank of St. Mary’s where he worked for twenty years before pursuing his own business endeavors in the construction industry. Tom started his banking career as a teller and worked his way up to Assistant Vice President responsible for loan and mortgage administration. This ultimately led him back to Mortgage Banking and his current position with Gateway. Tom is a well-known in the tri county construction industry for his attention to detail, his communication skills, his problem solving skill and his overall knowledge about the construction industry. Tom looks forward to a bright future with Gateway Bank Mortgage and to further serving his community.
